    The evidence for …
The evidence for acupuncture’s effectiveness in IVF has always been hugely variable. BMJ systematic review in 2008 indicated increased clinical pregnancy rates of 65%, other studies in the same year suggested 35% and of course there is this trial and others suggesting no effect. Such variability suggests problems with trial design which is an ongoing problem in acupuncture. IVF boasts a 30% success rate, with some studies indicating acupuncture has been effective it’s not so silly to consider it

I like how nobody in this ‘documentary’ explained how, exactly, acupuncture aids conception.

of course simply feeling more relaxed can help, but this is psydo-science and simply not news-worthy.

This will give false hope to women trying.

There is a reason experts claim that acupuncture has no effect, because it does not when tested. If 1 person manages to become pregnant, there are probably a whole bunch who do not.

How is ‘Body energy’ at all news worthy?
