Fully opaque Monster Tail Hypo ovulating after being bred for only three weeks by a Male Motley Boa Constrictor. This is only the second time I have seen an opaque Boa ovulating. Ovulation date 12/4/07. Babies will be due on around April 6, 2008 but we will be happy to have them anytime! Great stuff!

Here we have an inverse tail stripe Central American Boa female ovulating. These Boas are true dwarfs at only 4.5′ and four years of age. The male that bred this female is also an inverse tail stripe Central American. It will be interesting to see if it is genetic or not…

FINALLY!! I have been waiting for a few months now to see this sight! This is Delilah ovulating and basically ‘becoming gravid.’ As a boa ovulates, the follicles pass from the ovaries through the oviducts and become fertilized by the male’s sperm which is already in the female. Ovulation can be seen as a very large, concentrated swelling in the lower third of the female’s body.

Luck is going crazy with me this week. Possible ovulation, a bite that didnt even break the skin, plus i find an escaped snake…. twice!
I still have no idea how the carpet got out, or why he would stay 2 1/2 months in the same cage without getting out then break out twice in the same night, but i found him, so no harm, no fowl.

This is a rather small Bloody Salmon Boa Constrictor in the thick of ovulation. She has been bred first by a Jungle Boa and second by a Motley Boa. This is her second ovulation the first occurring a little over a week ago.

This Boa was obtained by Erich Gaertner in about 2002 as a fresh import. This female was extremely washed out as a baby and purplish pink. The male is a Chris Canada Smith screamingly beautiful Pastel Boa. I am hoping to some really really washed out Pastel puppies from this pair.

This is a Kahl Sunglow from our “Sandstone” bloodline. She was the pick of her litter in 04′ and she has a very special male with her! He is hiding behind the ovulation peaking over!
